We can't wait to host you. The Silent Sea is built around Mediterranean hospitality — fresh seafood, a raw bar worth lingering over, and a room designed to feel like a getaway to the Greek coast, right here on City Island. Here's everything worth knowing before your visit, so the only thing you need to think about once you arrive is what to order.

Reservations & Arrival

We hold your table for 15 minutes past your reservation time — running later than that? Just give us a call and we'll do our best to accommodate your party. Thursday through Saturday, we ask for at least 24 hours' notice on cancellations or no-shows; during our busiest nights, a held table means we've turned other guests away, and we'd rather spend that consideration on the people who show up. On evenings when we have a waitlist, we may need to reset tables that have been seated for an extended period so we can seat those waiting.

Dress Code

We keep things smart casual to elevated evening attire — Mediterranean elegance is part of the experience. To help everyone enjoy the room, we ask guests to avoid:

• Athletic or gym wear
• Sleeveless tank tops (men)
• Flip-flops or slides
• Excessively ripped, oversized, or sagging clothing
• Clothing with offensive graphics or language
• Swimwear or beach attire
• Sweatpants or loungewear
• Costume attire, novelty accessories, or themed wear

Management reserves the right to use discretion at the door.

Families & Kids

Families are always welcome at The Silent Sea. Because our evenings lean toward a more adult, date-night atmosphere, we ask that children under 16 join us before 7:00 PM.

Food, Allergies & Outside Items

Please let your server know about any allergies or dietary restrictions before ordering — while we're happy to accommodate where we can, not every ingredient is listed and we can't fully guarantee against cross-contamination. Outside food, drinks, decorations, and event décor need management's okay in advance. Service animals are always welcome and should remain on the ground throughout your visit.

Good to Know

We currently don't accept Apple Pay, so please have another payment method on hand. And we hold every guest and every visit to the same standard of respect — we don't tolerate offensive language or disruptive behavior toward our team or fellow guests.
